Texas T-Bone Colorado Springs has been a proud part of the local dining scene for 30 years. First located on South Academy, and founded in 1994 by Dave Crimmins, the restaurant quickly became known for its bold flavors, hearty meals, and inviting atmosphere, establishing itself as a local favorite. In 2004, the family chain expanded with a second location in Colorado Springs, the landmark location it currently holds on North Academy and Union.
Joe and Laurie Anderson played a pivotal role in the restaurant’s success over the years. Starting as General Managers, their dedication and leadership were instrumental in creating the welcoming environment that guests have come to love. Eventually, they became owners of the North Academy location, leading the restaurant for five years. In 2020, Joe and Laurie sold the business back to Dave but remained an integral part of the team as catering managers, continuing their invaluable contributions to the Texas T-Bone family.
That same year, Texas T-Bone Colorado Springs took a bold step forward, merging with Famous Dave’s BBQ to create the first-ever dual concept for both brands. By combining Texas T-Bone’s signature steaks with Famous Dave’s award-winning BBQ, the restaurant offered an expanded menu, providing more variety for guests and perfectly blending two iconic American cuisines as “Two Legendary Restaurants, One Building”.
In 2024, a new chapter began as Dave Crimmins retired and passed the torch to his daughter Ashley and her Australian husband, Trystan. Keeping the family legacy alive, Ashley and Trystan Brown have embraced their roles as owners with passion and vision, introducing exciting changes to the restaurant while preserving its roots. Their fresh perspective has brought new energy and ideas, and they are excited about what the future holds for Texas T-Bone Colorado Springs.
As the restaurant celebrates its rich 30-year history, it remains committed to its core values of exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and strong community connections. From its beginnings to its evolution into a dual-concept dining experience, and now under the leadership of Ashley and Trystan, and the seasoned experience of General Manager Sandy Urgilez, Texas T-Bone Colorado Springs continues to serve as a gathering place for friends, families, and food lovers alike.
Here’s to the next chapter of memories, meals, and milestones!
